The Greenway

Dungarvan is the perfect base to explore some of the most scenic and exciting attractions in Waterford. Just outside the town, you’ll find the Waterford Greenway, a stunning 46-kilometer cycling and walking route that stretches from Dungarvan to Waterford City. The path offers breathtaking coastal views and takes you through tunnels and viaducts, making it ideal for outdoor enthusiasts.

Lismore

A short drive away, the heritage town of Lismore offers a perfect blend of history, culture, and natural beauty. A must-visit is Lismore Castle Gardens where visitors can explore beautifully landscaped grounds, vibrant seasonal blooms, and breathtaking views of the Blackwater Valley.

Just outside Lismore, the Ballysaggartmore Towers add to the area’s allure with their striking 19th-century Gothic-style arches and bridge, remnants of an unfinished grand estate. The Comeragh Mountains, a breathtaking range in County Waterford, offer a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts with rugged landscapes, scenic trails, and hidden natural wonders. One of the most popular hikes is the Coumshingaun Loop, a challenging yet rewarding trail that circles the stunning Coumshingaun Corrie Lake.
